Celebration Baptist Church will launch a food pantry, in early August, to serve its neighbors with food insecurities. The first distribution will occur on Saturday, August 10, 10 a.m.-12 noon at the church facilities located at 4601 Highway 229, Haskell, Arkansas.
The church plans tol distribute food boxes twice monthly, including the second Saturday morning and fourth Thursday evening. Food boxes will include at least one protein, canned goods, seasonal produce, and other staple items.
First time participants will be asked to provide basic personal information when they receive a food box. The purpose of maintained minimal information is to allow for the ministry director to reach out to participants in case of a food recall or other emergency situation.
The director of the Celebration Baptist Church Food Pantry is Dianna Davidson. According to Dianna, weekly opportunities to serve our neighbors will be abundant through this ministtry.
