Discipleship is the life-long process by which a Christ-follower learns about the teachings of Jesus, internalizes them, and then acts upon them. Discipleship is non-negotiable and the personal responsibility of every believer. However, discipleship best occurs in the company of other Christ-followers.
One-to-One with God
Discipleship must include regular times of Bible Study and Prayer. Just as Jesus took time to regularly separate Himself from the crowds to refresh His spirit and clarify His walk, modern believers must do the same. Celebration Baptist Church suggests the SOAP method of personal Bible study to facilitate that private time with God.
