Ministry Update

During the April 28 quarterly membership/business meeting, Celebration Baptist Church made a change in staffing. Bryan Clay (Kelley) resigned as Youth Leader for CBC. Bryan has been a part of CBC for 19 years. He has served as Youth Leader for the vast majority of that time. God has used Bryan and Kelley to influence many students during their tenure at Celebration.

As most already know, Bryan is being sent out by Celebration Baptist Church to plant a daughter church in the Saline County area. He has spent the last couple of years laying the ground work. However, the time has arrived for him to give more time and attention to launching that church.

On June 2, Celebration Baptist Church will recognize and appreciate the Clays and their service at CBC. That day will include a time of fellowship (and yes, food) following morning worship. Mark your calendars for this special day.

After accepting Bryan’s resignation, Justin Huie was presented as a nominee for the role of Youth Leader. Justin has been a part of the ministry of Celebration Baptist Church in various roles for at least the last 13 years. He was elected unanimously to serve Celebration Baptist in the role of Youth Leader. He will assume his duties on June 2, 2024.

Associational Spotlight

Celebration Baptist Church has been commissioned to make disciples throughout the world (Matthew 28:19-20). But, can CBC do the work alone? The truth is that we AREN’T required to do the work alone!

Throughout church history, beginning in the New Testament era, churches have partnered together to fulfill the commission that Jesus gave His churches. Throughout church history, fellowships, associations, conventions and missionary organizations have facilitated partnerships between churches to take the gospel to the far reaches of the world.

Celebration Baptist Church is a member of a family of churches called the Baptist Missionary Association (BMA). In fact, CBC is the direct result of the efforts of the churches that cooperate together through the BMA of Arkansas. There are larger groups like the Southern Baptist Convention, etc. Yet, there is a place for both small and large associations in the Kingdom of God, just like there is a place for both small and large churches.

Over the next several months, the ministry of the BMA throughout the world, our state and in central Arkansas will be highlighted in this monthly eNewsletter. The goal is to inform you of the larger ministry of Celebration Baptist Church, familiarize you with some of our missionaries, and enlarge your value of the many institutions and ministries that make up the Baptist Missionary Association.

Here are a couple of websites for you to visit to learn about the BMA on your own.
